When my long time friend and real estate extraordinaire, Mark Savel, floated the idea of joining him on his real estate podcast, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation. I mean, what on earth could I bring to the table that would keep anyone’s attention for more than the time it takes to brew a cup of coffee?
Surprisingly, we ended up filling an entire hour – and if the podcast universe allowed it, we probably could’ve continued into a real estate marathon.
The Toronto Livings Real Estate Podcast is the brainchild of Toronto realtors Mark Savel & Joey Virgilio. The dynamic duo are the maestros of real estate & Toronto banter.
What I love about their podcast is the perfect blend of real estate wisdom and unfiltered authenticity. They’re like the Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson of Toronto real estate – minus the pipe and deerstalker hat, of course. There’s something really fun and entertaining about the way they share insights with twists and turns you never saw coming.
In the episode we recorded together we covered a tonne of content. Everything from my favorite weekend food indulgences, to my thoughts on interest rates in 2024, to my views on social media and real estate. At the end we sprinkled in a bit of friendly competition with a quiz that had Mark and Joey battling it out over Canadian real estate supply and demand facts. We dubbed this episode “The Seduction of Pessimism.”
I was recently inspired by the book “Psychology of Money” – Morgan Housel.
One of the chapters in the book is called The Seduction of Pessimism where the author covers the fascinating place pessimism holds in our minds and hearts.
As someone deeply entrenched in the Toronto real estate scene, I often find my social media inundated with doomsday prophecies about the market. So, naturally, we dug deep into the murky waters of pessimism during the podcast, dissecting headlines and unraveling the truth.
Mark, Joey, and I shared laughs, insights, and a few shocking revelations about the real estate landscape. The end result? An hour of pure podcast gold.
So, buckle up, dear listeners, because “The Seduction of Pessimism” isn’t your run-of-the-mill real estate chat. It’s a wild ride through the minds of Toronto real estate enthusiasts, fueled by coffee, camaraderie, and a dash of competitive spirit. We had a blast creating it, and I’m crossing my fingers that you’ll enjoy it as much as we did. Happy listening! 🎙️🏡
