How Are Real Estate Lawyers Being Impacted by Covid-19?

March 28, 2020

The COVID-19 outbreak is changing the way the world does business. Industries and professions that are traditionally averse to change and protected by long-standing rigid practices are having to reinvent the wheel on the fly. Here, we talk a bit more about how COVID-19 is impacting real estate lawyers.

Huge challenges face many professions but necessity is the father of invention as they say.

Covid-19 is one helluva father.

One of the industries that has had to adapt incredibly fast is the legal world, especially real estate lawyers.

I sit down with my good friend Lena Koke, founder of Axess Law to hear about how they are coping with the challenges of operating an essential service in an industry that REQUIRES lawyers and staff to meet with their clients in person.

During the chat Lena shares with me a bit about how her real estate law firm Axess Law is adapting to the unique challenges of meeting the needs of their clients. She also shares some valuable insight regarding the Law Societies views on “wet ink” signatures for real estate and mortgage transactions.

For an introduction to Axess Law visit their press & awards page here.

This is a really valuable chat with an incredible professional who is thriving each day in these unique circumstances.
