Chris Molder Contributes to Ratehub’s Mortgage Math Series

September 5, 2013

Who’s that guy in the unfortunate freeze frame you may ask? That’s me, Chris Molder.

I was deemed cool enough to be invited to present one of the Mortgage Math Series videos for Ratehub.ca’s video series.
Screen Shot 2013-09-05 at 6.24.00 PMTruth be told I struggled with math like most teenagers do in high school. But despite math being my worst and least favorite subject in school I decided to pursue it in university. In fact I ended up with a minor in math. Go figure!?
In this particular video I present some basic yet important key concepts about mortgage payment frequency. Basically explaining the difference between monthly vs. bi-weekly and bi-weekly accelerated payments.  This is super basic basic stuff. But if you’ve been following my blog then you’ll know that my thing is mortgage debt reduction and being mortgage-free faster! The first step in any mortgage debt reduction plan is to take bi-weekly accelerated payments. Right off the bat it’ll save you years and big bucks.
